Archaic fire engine fights blaze

A 1937 fire engine on its way to a classic vehicles rally stopped to fight a car blaze, firefighters have said.

The engine had travelled from Stockholm to take part in a rally between London and Brighton and was manned by two Swedish firefighters.

The crew saw a car on fire on the A12 near Brentwood, Essex, as the engine made its way to London.
